Project Description:

The main objective of the project was to carry out a study of flood prevention and river management alternatives in the Eria River Basin.

The activities carried out consisted of the following:

• Data collection;
• Cartographical works;
• Hydrological and hydraulic studies;
• Flood protection alternatives studies;
• Flood risk Analysis, zoning plan, flood alert systems, flood protection and control.

Technical data: Longitude: 72,1 Km; Affected area: 66,364 ha

Applied Technologies: Hydrologic Models (HEC-HMS) and Hydraulic Models (HEC-GEORAS) for the estimation and analysis of river flow.
