Bosnia and Herzegovina, Provision of Feasibility Study for Waste Water Treatment Plant in Bihac

Project Description:

The project objectives were to solve the problems which the population of the municipality of Bihac encountered in wastewater collection and treatment that was to improve the quality of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s surface waters through the implementation of sewage and wastewater treatment infrastructure in Bihac.

The results to be achieved within the project included:

  • Increasing the population served by sewer networks;
  • Reducing the direct discharge of untreated wastewater to surface waters by the construction of WWTP;
  • Preparing a Master Plan for future investments in the sewage system; and
  • Preparing a feasibility study and preliminary design.
