The main objective of this program is to improve the quality of the EC funded programs and projects through the provision of adequate, independent and timely information about them. The monitoring system consists of an exercise of transparency, providing non biased information on the projects, and giving the necessary inputs to enhance their management and results.

Activities include:

Preparing the monitoring reports - production of more than 100 monitoring reports per year, systematically covering a wide range of operations financed under different budget lines in all of the CP countries where EC cooperation is ongoing.
Adjusting the instrument at a local, regional and national level;
Evaluating the relevant actors and socialising the monitoring instruments;
Conducting training in monitoring;
Quality control.
