Project Description:

The project included works on basic engineering, studies and hydraulic modelling of the wave of breakage of dams in order to elaborate the Plans of Emergency of four dams, in agreement with the Technical Guide.

Technologies applied:

  • Hydrologic Simulation: HEC – 1;
  • Dam Breakage Simulation: MIKE 11;
  • Lamination Study: LAME

The project included the following services:

  • Topography of the river bed;
  • Inventory of possible affections in margins;
  • Thresholds of danger in the dams;
  • Review of the structural, soil mechanics, hydrologic and hydraulic aspects of the dams;
  • Analysis of the security of the dams;
  • Hydraulic Analysis of the wave of breakage of dams;
  • Cartography of temporary floods;
  • Territorial studies and analysis of risks;
  • Organisation and resources for alert;
  • Adaptation and writing of the Norms of Operation;
  • Revision and organisation of the Technical Archives;
  • Study and analysis of the behaviour of the dams;
  • Hydrological characterisation of the river basin, and hydraulics of the channels, of the rivers Guaro, Guadalmedina, Cueva and Solano.
