Project Description:
The main objective of the project was to provide technical assistance for three Bulgarian waste management regions (Burgas, Dobrich and Provadia) in terms of the following activities:
- Preparation of 3 separate investment plans for waste management development and separate feasibility studies with technical, institutional, financial and cost-benefit analysis necessary to support the ISPA application forms for investment measures;
- Preparation of 3 separate ISPA application forms for the short-term priority investment components for each of the targeted regions;
- Assistance to the municipal authorities in updating the municipal waste management programs;
- Preparation of 3 separate sets of tender documents for detailed design, tendering and construction supervision of all facilities and measures proposed for ISPA funding for each of the regions following FIDIC conditions of contract.
