Project Description:

The object of this assignment is to design, develop and implement a Web Based Geographic Information System in the towns of Kutaisi, Zugdidi, Poti, Mameuli, Anaklia and Mestia by collecting Water and Sanitation Asset data in other to achieve a further planning and development of Water Supply and Sanitation infrastructure.

The outputs expected from this assignment are:

  • Creation of base maps for integration of the spatial layers;
  • Existing cadastre maps will be updated with new satellite images and will serve as a basis for creating final base maps. In addition, a field survey will be conducted in order to collect all the required information for the development of the base maps for integration of all layers of the decision making information system;
  • Water Supply and Sewerage asset inventory;
  • All the existing data on WSS networks will be collected and processed in order to develop a geodatabase structure to store water supply and sanitation asset spatial and alphanumeric information;
  • Development of a consumer database that will be linked with GIS;
  • Data on consumers will be collected, classified and loaded into a common database then linked to GIS;
  • Development of a web based Water Supply and Sanitation Utility Management System based on the different user profiles and current environments that are expected to access the system.
